I would like to hear anything about Deepwater.I have a chance to buy some property there,But have never been there.I wonder if it floods there or if there are tornados? All I know is it is a small town of about 500 people. Is it hilly, does it get much snow?Crime?
Thanks,

mydoxens,

As far as Deepwater goes, there really isn't a "town" there to speak of. It is just a small community with a few churches, a store, a park, and not much else. However, don't let this discourage you from buying property near this community. If you enjoy boating or any similar activity, access to Truman Lake is less than a mile away. Your property won't be far from a huge lake.
Also, the town of Clinton is 5 miles from Deepwater. The population is only around 9500, but it is rapidly growing towards Deepwater. It is a charming little town, but for the life of me I can't understand why Clinton is exploding the way it is. A couple of hotels, restaurants, a movie theater, a strip mall, and a Wal-Mart Supercenter have sprung up on the "Deepwater" side of Clinton.
I hope this little bit of info helps. I live in Warrensburg, which is about 30 miles East of Clinton.
