Indeed, a most excellent place! Great place to visit, esp. if can during each of the different seasons [like anywhere, different personality different times].

yes, if I remember right its a pretty easy hike. We got some really cool pics of the ruins just as the sun was setting. There are so many cool hiking places scattered around the state, from paved or maintained trails to basically deer runs through the Mark Twain National Forest.

Ha Ha Tonka is indeed a most fascinating adventure! Visiting there is special. I wish that I could locate the pictures that I took when our family last visited the area. I would put it at the No.1 place to visit in the area!

I look back and can't believe I didn't get the chance to visit Ha Ha Tonka when I grew up near St. Louis. Mrs. NBE and I got to visit it in May 2006. It is yet another great place in Missouri that I'd love to go back and spend more time exploring--hiking more of the trails. The castle and old water tower are fascinating structures to say the least!

Other must-sees: Bridal Cave and Thunder Mountain Park, both very close to Camdenton. http://www.bridalcave.com

Never heard of Ha Ha Tonka. Checked out the links and it sure looks like someplace I would love to visit. Bookmarked the page so I can remember to look it over and talk the hubby into taking a day trip one of these beautiful Missouri days and take a gander at it.

Took our kids there years ago when they were little, great place to visit, plus it's free.

Bridal Cave is cool, too.
