am i the only one who feels that 'Suga' Rashad Evans has been more or less screwed outta his title shot. he loses the title to Machida, then comes back to beat two (easilly top 10) opponents, and is deemed #1 Contender, switches camps to fight the current champion... who gets injured...and then isnt injured...and now Rashad is fighting Phil Davis and they're talking about Rampage getting the title shot?!? seems like a burn to me.
yeah. ya know what? upon further review, i think Rashad - who has been quiet on the subject, may have been done a favor. he gets a warm up fight before facing Jones against whom he would be a big time underdog - and who knows, he might end up getting a title shot against Rampage, against whom he would be a favorite.
besides, he injured his knee, changed camps, and has been sidelined for over a year now. a warm up fight is just what he needs. nothing against Phil Davis, but you gotta think Davis is being thrown to the wolves here.
