condit IMO is not the better fighter but he stuck to his game plan and won the fight. his muay thai was not great, but he was effective.
Agreed. It was kinda funny at the end when Diaz disparaged Condit's "little baby leg kicks" when the majority of Diaz strikes were just pawing rangefinder type jabs that Condit would easily circle away from.

werdums stand up is getting sooooooo much better! i agree i think werdum vs mir would be good, and i dont think its to far away.
Do you think after the SFGP Cormier and Barnett will be brought over?
I read Antonio Silva might have his debut UFC fight later this spring.

nick is not a power puncher, never has been. he is all about volume and condits game plan took that away. it was a pure greg jackson game plan to the T. the typical, out point someone for the win, if you get a KO or sub well great but get as many points as possible on the way.
i understand that the heavy/light heavy divisions where being dissolved and moved over to the ufc or cut free. dana would be a fool not to bring those guys over. barnett IMO is top 2-3 heavy out there (stay off the roids josh!!!). i dont think there is a heavy in the ufc that can beat him save Alistair, and i think thats a tough fight for them both and could go either way. cormier is a bit of an enigma, im not sure he is as good as he seems but he could very well be.
and more ignorant and ridiculous comments for you know who, damn we cant run that guy off.
i didnt find the fight to be a "snoozer" and to be honest i think diaz won rounds 1,2 and 5 with 5 being close but taking condits back and sub attempts should have put him over the top.
condits thai boxing was sharp no mater what diaz says about "baby kicks to my legs". condit took diaz out of his game plan and the judges saw that he was more effective even going backwards.

I caught the fight online for free the next day, so I can't really complain, however if I would have paid for PPV, I would have ben pi$$ed
Sounds reasonable, neither took any more that superficial damage and they are both the type that can be called up any time within a couple weeks be ready to make weight and go five rounds.
So how does Diaz adjust? The non-damage rangefinder jabs will never prevent Condit from simply countering and circling out to reset, he's got to do something different to not leave it to the judges.
