Across from Academy they're building a retail center called Airport Oaks Plaza, under 7k sqft. The land in front, one parcel will be Newks Eatery. As for what is going besides Academy, I have no clue but the land is owned by someone called Richardson Inc

Yep a Rich's car wash and another Newks. I will admit that we need another Newks but local investors need to stretch their thinking.

Hibachi Express, Chicken Salad Chick, Fuzzy's Taco Shop... also, there will be another 2-storefront building with MOOYAH Burgers, Fries, and Shakes, and another unnamed tenant.
Behind those buildings will be a ~100 room Hilton or Marriott hotel.
