im looking for a nice small town to move to, out in the country, with good schools, nice area to raise a family.

Looking for a nice lake or river area around it. I want the old time life for my kids that I had. Going fishing, swimming, mudding, riding the 4 wheelers etc.

It does not have to be in Alabama, looking for a good place to raise my kids. occupations are Trucking, prefer oil delivery, but can find a job. Not looking for over the road, want home nightly and weekends with kids

Anyone know of a town like this, it can be near a big city, but want the country life for kids.

I'm not sure if there is a such thing as "nice schools" in Alabama, or anywhere for that matter, but check out Axis, Creola, Satsuma, Saraland.

There are plenty of great schools in Alabama , that are nationally ranked.

Saraland and Satsuma are good suggestions, as is Fairhope. I'm also impressed with the area near Hixson, TN, a north suburb of Chattanooga. Lots of outdoor activities, beautiful area. I'm not as familiar with the schools. Our daughter and family lives there and they love it.
