Wouldn't be much of a surprise. Awful facilities and not much local support. It'd suck though with the city putting in money for drainage and light improvements recently

There'd be much more support if the ballpark were downtown. We'll see how this goes, though

I actually enjoyed their first couple seasons at the Baysharks. I moved recently and found an old Baysharks ballcap and seat cushion from around '94-'95.

Yes. If I remember correctly they left because they couldn't get a new stadium built. Now I guess some investors stepped up.

Id be more willing to go to a game if it was downtown. There's nothing good around the stadium to do before or after the game making it less fun

agree.. I live downtown and would get season tickets if it were down there and if it was actually a nice place to watch a game. Worst baseball stadium to watch a game that I've ever been to.. Even old Stanky had more character.

When asked where I would put it downtown my 2 favorite spots would be where the Civic Center is now with the skyline as the backdrop or in the yard in front of the battleship and have the Alabama as a backdrop. Obviously not very doable but one can dream

With all the Breweries and restaurants opening up I feel like it would do a lot better there for sure.

Yeah a downtown stadium would have been great. My gut feeling is that I dint think it would do as good in Madison as it would if it were in downtown Huntsville.

If I'm not mistaken, there's around 1.3mil people within a 60 mile radius of Mobile. If the team leaves, Mobile definitely has the market to attract another team and/or another sport. With Mobile's progressive mayor and Baldwin County growing rapidly, something is bound to happen.
