Yup. Those labels have been broken. Buy a Toyota and save an American job is the new mantra.

Full size trucks are still US domain, but by and large foreign brands have US assemblies and parts. I have a Mercury that was assembled with Mexican parts and labor, and a Toyota. The Toyota is the better car..

I am a young professional also possibly relocating to Billings, MT. I have lived in small farm towns and big cities. Can someone please tell me what the quality of life will be for a young female?

Billings has a mid-city but pretty small for that "ranking". A mid-city, to me, is 100k to 400k in MSA. It is well diversified economically. There is not one industry that dominates town but the job market is not as deep as it could be due to the population. It may help to know what you are looking for and what industry you are in.

By the way Mercedes is built in the U.S. now.

There are foreign labels on cars all over the state.
Not all Mercedes are built in the US, just the M class, GL class, and R class. The cars and larger SUV's are still German made. While the M, GL, and R are manufactured in the USA they still have German research and development which is really what you pay for, which in my opinion is well worth it. We own an 2006 F350, a 2011 Silverado 1500, and a 2011 ML350. So I guess we have all the bases covered, we own American assembled and American Designed.

Billings is a blue collar town. If you can emphasize the outdoor and sports type activities for social you will be fine. There are a couple of museums and the Alberta Bair but there is not a big focus on refined type activity. If you can get your head around the fact that the most successful deep pocketed people in state have mud or manure in their day, you will be ahead of the game. In Montana things are not as they appear. What specifically do you wish to know about?
