I'm thinking of moving to Montana in a few years and wanted to know what jobs there are for people who like to work with their hands. What jobs would pay the best for blue collar workers?

Blue collar jobs that pay decently are tough to find in the "pretty" parts of the state. Someone has to die, retire or get fired for those jobs to open up. You can find work easily in Sidney and Williston, ND but that is in the prairie.

This pretty much sums it up. The pretty areas are tough to find good-paying jobs. No shortage of minimum wage jobs there.

Opportunities for skilled blue collar jobs will be more common in eastern Montana.

Unless you're a skilled welder or a diesel mechanic. Never enough of 'em anywhere.
