I have accepted a seasonal job at Glacier National Park and will be located near the west entrance. I'm moving from Maryland so I'll be a long way from home and being able to keep in touch with family and friends is important. I'm concerned about not having cell phone coverage in that area, especially since I know I won't have wifi access in my housing. What cell providers do you folks use and how good is your coverage in this area? Also wondering if there are any places to get wifi access perhaps in West Glacier?

Verizon is the carrier of choice for most in NW Montana, they have pretty good coverage considering our difficult topography and isolated location. But this is still NW Montana so don't expect 100% coverage, there are many "dead zones" but they are becoming fewer as Verizon continues to erect new cell towers.

According to the National Park Service itself, forget Cell Phones and Internet when you are there, except in very limited areas.
