Just talked to a friend in the Heights. She rode out the tornado today in a corner of her basement. A skylight was broken in her house by the hail. She saw the tornado headed to the Metra when it came in.

Hope everyone over there is ok. Reading about all the damage in the Heights and to the Metra.

Not very common, but can happen in eastern Montana.

Lots of damage but so far no report of death. Luckily, the Metra Arena was empty as were most of the business buildings that were hit. People in the McDonalds went into the freezer for shelter.

The Antiques Road Show was supposed to be filmed in Billings this coming weekend.
I wonder if they will postpone.

I was caught in golf ball - tennis ball sized hail trying to run to the garden to protect it at about
4pm today in Bozeman.
I didn't make it to the garden. Had a plastic deck chair over my head and only made it to a large
spruce tree where I stood for protection, but still was hammered and cut and bruised on one
hand by the hail. Thought it broke my finger when it hit.
Garden pretty much decimated. West side of house and garage damage reported to insurance.
