Hello,

Would love it if i could get feedback on the difference between the neighbourhoods in Montreal.

I am a single 27 year old young professional considering the move.

I currently live in Yorkville in Toronto.

Thanks!

As you can see theres a lot of neighborhoods in Montreal. After reading your posts i'm not sure what you are looking for, do you plan on renting ?if so whats your price range, if buying a home same question.
NDG is a burb you might enjoy or Montreal West, both heavily Anglo,if a more rural atmosphere is required look off the west island around Ile Perrot,Hudson or Rigaud.
Looking at the map most homes along the waterfront are pricey.

I am looking into buying.
At the moment, I'm just trying to get a feel for the areas so I have a idea more of less before I head down there to visit.

Looking to be in a good area, where a lot of young professionals would be.
I noticed there are a lot of new developments being built at the moment.
I am into luxury residences. Hotel residences are definitely a plus if available.
Price range is anywhere from 700-1m.

Ceiling to floor windows, contemporary design etc.

What is the different between Montreal and Laval?
I also love the idea of over looking the river.

My mom used to rent a condo in Pointe Claire. Was a mid-rise on the river. Might want to look there as well. Although I definitely second Nuns Island. I have vivid memories of biking from the South Shore to there as a kid with my dad and hitting golf courses, or just having a picnic at the wilderness park they have there. Beautiful place
