West Virginia Radio Project Gets Underway in Morgantown

The new facility will be where the current Boys and Girls Club is (the old Greer Building) at the back for the Spruce/Pleasant/Elk/Walnut block. With the B&GC moving to the old Woodburn Elementary building, WV Radio Corporation will consolidate its services to the new facility, including Pikewood Creative currently in the Suncrest Center building.

I'm not a fan of John Raese at all, and I cringed every time he talked in the interview, but he is bringing new construction (not a gas station) and jobs to downtown, so I'm not complaining.

Good find, elewis. Raese is a fierce competitor and he puts out a quality product, especially with his Pikewood operation.
He has the resources necessary to do the job right, and the fact that his operations employ hundreds in our area attest to his value here. People are often put off by his political views and tactics, but none can dispute his business acumen. He also has the respect of his employees.

Construction appears to be starting - the lot is caged off and equipment is being set up. I wonder if Raese will ever regain his business sense and pursue WVU contracts without having to go through the courts...

You're talking about two different items here. Unfortunately, he has made it clear he will not pursue the athletic affiliation. Bray Carey killed that for everyone. If you consider the fact that he employs 1,200 West Virginians, that attests to his business sense in and of itself.
