What's the point? To be a mouthpiece of the Raese hatespeech against WVU? To drive Oliver Luck out of town? To clog our downtown with excessive and avoidable truck traffic?

I have absolutely no idea why you would post this. I am a staunch supporter of Oliver Luck. I also recognize the tremendous contribution the Raese's make to our local economy. I do agree that the trucks should use different routes, but that is another issue.
Also, Raese has conducted absolutely no hate speech against the institution. If you've actually been paying attention, you know his issues are with certain individuals, and he will have his day in court. I am not taking sides in that situation in the slightest except to say the grossly excessive political interference in our higher education system created the mess in the first place, just like it does most of the messes we have had. My personal wish would be to give Bray Carey the heave ho, and have Raese make peace with everyone involved.
He will have his day in court... All the rich, fat cats have their day in court with their big expensive attorneys and bought judges. He's just another example of a spoiled rich kid grown up and upset because he didn't get his way.

We just don't know how that will turn out (unless you have some sort of crystal ball), but the purpose of this thread is to discuss the positive economic impacts of his firm on our economy. He is sort of like our Marshall Reynolds who, if you will remember, has a controversial past himself except that he was on the other end of the issue there.
Well one thing that is NEGATIVE about his effects on our economy is his company basically has a monopoly on all media in NCWV. He's ran small radio companies out of business and uses the media to push his conservative agenda and own political gain... Which luckily, the people of WV can see through him...

He does not have a monopoly on the media in NCWV. He owns the Morgantown newspaper, and he owns or controls the best radio facilities in the state (with the exception of WWVA in Wheeling), not just NCWV, but nobody is going to be able to claim he has a monopoly. Unlike much of the state, print media is more localized here and there are viable newspapers in Fairmont, Clarksburg, and Elkins. Most areas also have at least one radio station that is not in his group.
