Marching Bands Based in Morgantown Active During the Holidays (Clarksburg: high school, university)

The Morgantown High School Mohigans Marching Band will be representing West Virginia at the Pearl Harbor Commemorative parade in Honolulu this December 7th., while the Pride of West Virginia, the Mountaineer Marching Band of West Virginia University will be in a prime spot marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan, which is watched by 3.5 million people in person and viewed by 50 million on television.

Being a part of the band boosters here in Williamstown my first thought is that you have to sell a ton of hot dogs to raise that kind of money.

You're right. The Mohigans had car washes and all sorts of activities to raise their funds. WVU gets their funds from donors.

The Mountaineer Marching Band was selected to lead off the band, and was the first element in the parade, performing in front of millions in Manhattan.
