I would highly recommend that you stay away from these people , yes I am being negative for a good reason . It has been 8 months since we started this entire loan process , and we still don't have a close date , we 100% qualify , we have already paid for and received a home inspection and an appraisal , we will never get this money back now . This agency has asked us for more information than has ever been asked for by our other home purchases and such , they are terrible with their process , not organized , they are non-transparent with information , they withhold things from you until the last minute when you think you have everything in order and ready to go on this loan they come up with more bull and they set you back again . Also if you apply for this loan , you must have a home in need of repair , well the only thing that we need on our home , but is not pressing is a new roof and 6 new windows , well folks let me tell you , this is how this works in the USDA mind set , those contractors that you get bids from , they do not get paid in advance for materials needed to start your projects , now myself being a retired contractor credit line or not , no contractor in his right mind will dish out any of his own money or credit line for that matter in advance for any amount , so how do you secure your contractors ? You don't !Unless you want to put your own money forward , let's face this is why your applying for a loan in the first place , the average person doesn't have enough money of their own to put out in the first place ! I have lost these two contractors because of this , so do you call a 100 other contractors in hopes that you might get lucky that they will accept these conditions ? NO , no contractor will , so hence here I am , i'm out a $1000.00 for services rendered , we wasted 8 months on this process and a few gray hairs , and are still nowhere close to the end , unless I stop this process myself and we are ! I spoke with this loan specialist today for the last time and it was a bad conversation to say the least , I hung up on this loan specialist when she got verbally ugly with me ! I'm not a negative person by nature , but man what a mess the USDA is !
STAY AWAY !!

Not true. I have a USDA loan and my house did not need anything repaired.
