They look like a mortgage bank. If you ask their structure they will be happy to tell you. Plus you look like a more sophisticated borrower if you ask them if they are a regular FDIC bank, mortgage bank, or mortgage broker.

Thanks. Believe it or not this was my first home even though I'm in my 50's. I feel very stupid about the whole process, I think they assume because of my age I know more than I do.
