I don't know how to explain it, but I've seen two motorcycles, and they had these odd trailers mounted to the rear, surrounding the wheel, with wheelz on it directly beside the drive wheel. What is it?

You mean a trike conversion? They're basically training wheels... I laugh every time I see them.

I see why some people would want them. People with physical issues. Or guys like me who forget to put their feet down at stops at the end of a 500 mile day . . .
I'd imagine turning one would take some practice?

If I had a physical issue and couldn't work with automated supports (https://rideapart.com/articles/the-legup-system) which allow the motorcycle to BE a motorcycle while moving and simply come down at low speeds/when stopped, then I would be using a sidecar. Actually, it'd probably be Necessary as I'd most likely be in a wheelchair.

FWIW, I know a paraplegic rider/racer. He uses velcro to keep feet on the pegs and rides on the street (different setup than above, but similar) and starts at the back of the field with someone holding him upright when racing. Met the bastrd when I was cornerworking and he crashed. I ran up and asked if he was alright and he replied "OMG, my legs! my legs! I can't feel my legs!..... oh, wait, I'm a paraplegic..." Yup, sick sense of humor, we hit it off famously. lol

I'm glad people ride, even if they have a crutch in the form of a trike, but it saddens me too.

Yeah, it did sort of look like that, with platforms that looked like used for sforage between tye wheels.

Its not a trike. Now you've got 4 wheels. Kind of a cheap, ( if you can call $4095 cheap) conversion. If you've got disabilities, I could see this as a cheap and quick solution.
