Ever since I rode a motorcycle in California and saw how much better riding a motorcycle is with filtering and splitting legal I am extremely annoyed at the fact that it can't be done in my home state of MN. Does anyone else feel that it should be legal everywhere? Who wouldn't want to reduce traffic congestion while making the roads safer for motorcyclists...seriously just make it legal already!

I agree, but Im so scared of car people veering in and out of lanes with no notice, I would be very particular about the times I would do it. I saw two sportbike guys meet their end when a car veered into the HOV lane of I-95 a few years ago, and its a scene I wish I could remove from my memory. That would spook me every time. Still does anyway . . .

There are far too many childish idiots in America who are mad because they think we are just cutting in line and that's why we do it. In truth those same idiots don't think why a motorcycle half the size of a car should take up a full space in line. They also think it's more logical to get smashed from behind and turned into a sandwich then filter to the front and be off before any driver can put down their phone.

Then that would be illegal and the motorcyclist would match that illegal action with another by smashing it or the mirror or you. You are the reason why many refer to the US as a third world country for motorcyclists. It really isn't about cutting in line. It's about safety. It's not safe for a motorcycle to sit in line behind a car and potentially sandwiched.

Drivers here are inattentive enough and it doesn't help when they can easily look over a motorcycle and pay attention to the car in front of the bike. So they stop in a fair distance to that car which is fine EXCEPT there's a motorcycle there. So now he gets absolutely levelled if not killed by a ton and a half piece of metal.

Car drivers have to come to assume it's all about them. They get their panties wadded over everything from bicycles fo lanesplitting. Truly a violent, idiot culture. They are generally not smart enough to understand all the stuff they wish they could do but cant in their car, they can do if they get a bicycle or motorcycle. But no, they will continue to whine because the cant lanesplit in an suv of f-350. *DeRp*
