Watching bits and pieces of Oscar events I heard the words Frozen River and I remembered reading good reviews for the book.
So I looked it up and it sounds like something I'd like and the movie and her performance gets good reviews.
Frozen River (2008) - IMDb user reviews
Also in her IMDB listing was something called 21 Grams which also gets good reviews although it sounds a bit heavy.
I added both to my Netflix que's
Just putting it out there.

Frozen River is fantastic! I didn't realize that was her.

I didn't like 21 Grams. I never understood why it got such rave reviews (probably b/c Sean Penn is in it). And (ironically) it is very heavy.

"Frozen River" was phenomenal. Leo was nominated for Best Actress for it, wasn't she? It seemed like a very overlooked film. I haven't seen her in anything else.

I've been a fan of hers since she was a cast member on NBC's "Homicide Life on the Street", I knew she was gonna get an Oscar one day

Frozen River was good, but depressing.

This woman's acceptance speech gave me the creeps. Clearly she thinks movie making is the highest calling anyone can undertake.

Get a grip lady, and some perspective.

Really? I thought it was very uplifting toward the end. And decency and ethics ultimately win in the film. One thing about Leo, she never acts the same in any of her films.

Frozen Rvier was great. I felt badly that it was a small movie without big names that wouldn't get noticed for awards.

Well I felt that way about Winters Bone. I mean I guess we should be grateful it got recognized by being nominated but I was disappointed that it hasn't been seen by more people and that it didn't win.
