The bad guys gave up after the 2nd one I think but the producers are the ones that won't let it go...

Now, it is with his son? I guess the 6th one will have the grand kids?

Hollywood needs some new ideas. There are plenty of good books to make into movies.

He plays that role well. Maybe he has a bet with Stallone on who could keep their franchise going longest. I'll watch it... when it gets to cable, like the last two.

And IMO there aren't that many good books out there.

I couldn't agree more and that same statements has been made by many, including yours truly. There are so many books out there with solid stories that could be turned into great movies (assuming they are adapted right).

I have no idea why movies studios/producers continue beating on the "re-make" and "sequel" drums.

I am mixed on this. I love the Die Hard series and they have all been good so far. How far can they really take it though? Plus Bruce Willis is being typecasted like crazy.

Die Hard 1 was a classic, 2 was forgettable, 3 wasn't bad actually, 4 I remember like 1% of it, and 5 the trailer looks good lets see how it does. Sequels and remakes are a easy buck for the studio and generally fans want it but do agree with you guys about Hollywood should explore new ideas.....all about money for them though.

Agreed, I'm a Diehard fan but can't help but wonder if it's had it's day and they should just let it rest.
