French Canadian film "Monsieur Lazhar" (in French with English sub-titles) is an incredible and stunning must-see. On one level it is a film about a sixth-grade teacher and his class; on another level it is about death, loss, grief, and coming to terms. It is multi-layered, nuanced, pitch-perfect, and deeply affecting. The director must be a genius to have gotten such superb performances out of the child actors (and the adults too).
