I like a little of most everything, but if I had to pick a top 5, it would be:

1) 70's-80's B-movie
2) Comedy
3) Westerns
4) Sci-Fi
5) Action

I like all kind of movies but my favorite are post-apocapyotic movies such as The Road, The Book of Eli, I am Legend etc. Did not vote since I like all kind of movies.

The type doesn't matter as much as the script (writing) and follow through. Actually, it doesn't have to even be a movie. The Tim Hutton "Nero Wolfe" series is so good we have rented it from Netflix a couple of times, in addition to still having an old VHS episode or two. "Muppet Movie" is really an adult film.

Horror and science fiction. The ones with well developed stories that are interesting. Not crap like "Hostel" and those types. Violence is not the main ingredient in horror. Too many movies try to gain notoriety in this gere by outdoing each other in the shock dept. the unknown is scarier. Chernobyl diaries recently was a good example of claustrophobic fear with little violence.

Lately I've been watching a lot of animated movies (2d, not the 3d stuff). Being a part-time illustrator myself, I just love admiring the artwork in good animated films.
