The original "Parent Trap" from 1961

I do not even know why.

I can watch it over and over.

Wild Orchid.

Maybe its because I was born in 1989 and watched this movie 20 years after its release, but holy crap this movie is terrible. The whole movie reeks of early 90's cheesiness, and the dialogue is particularly egregious. And I love Mickey Rourke, but he's supposed to be sexy in this movie? 80% of the stuff he says and does in this movie would probably get me a restraining order if I tried that.

... And therein lies the appeal. It's so brazenly sleazy, I can't help but like it.

I never apologize for liking a movie, or music, or a TV show.

My sister did look at me like I'd sprouted cauliflower in my ears when I told her I liked Beauty Shop.

This may force me to hand in my man card but here goes. I have 7:

1. Sabrina- The Harrison Ford version not the Bogie classic

2. Simply Irresistible- Sarah Michelle Gellar as a bad chef turned good chef with the help of a magical crab. I kid you not

3. Blue Crush- Kate Bosworth and Michelle Rodriguez as surfers. Honorable mention to Faison Love as the comic relief

4. Bewitched. Most people saw a crappy Will Ferrel flick. Not me. Why? I have no clue

5. A Walk in the Clouds- Keanu Reeves in a love story set in post WWII California. Throw in Anthony Quinn and I enjoyed it

6. Where the Heart Is- IMO Natalie Portman's 3rd best flick After Black Swan and Closer

7. Chocolat - Jonny Depp, Juliette Binoche, Judi Dench, Alfred Molina and a lot of chocolate. Can't go wrong with that

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" - it may be a children's movie but I watch it every time it comes on.

Also, I just mentioned this on a thread about soundtracks but "Times Square" from 1980 - it had terrible reviews but I always quite liked it despite it probably not being the movie it should have been. I saw it was on at midnight on TV the other night (for probably the first time ever) and just had to tape it (unfortunately, all swear words have been removed).

I'm a guy and I honestly like chick flicks In fact, my 2 (or maybe 3) favorite movies of all time would probably be classified as chick flicks, b/c they are very sentimental overall in nature...as I truly like and enjoy watching heartfelt, touching movies. I kinda don't advertise it so much IRL though, b/c it's not really what society usually expects from an adult male...

Come on, Knight, tell us what your favorite chick flicks are!

I already said I enjoy Three Men and a Little Lady, and I'm male and 31, so anything you say will be less embarrassing.

Lol OK, since you asked...

"The Inheritance" (1997, starring Cari Shayne)
"David Copperfield" (2000 TNT made-for-TV movie version, starring Hugh Dancy)

Btw, "Three Men and a Little Lady" is a very nice movie as well, IMO
