Single take 99 minute movie through 33 rooms of the Russian Hermitage museum and using more than 2,000 actors and 3 orchestras.

Roger liked it.

Saw that in a little theatre in Miami Shores a few years back. It was quite good and a technical tour-de-force.

Must have been great in front of a big screen. The costumes can take a back seat to the idea and execution, but you really notice them and could tell the devil was in the details.

Yes, what a pix. I beleive that shot took a year or two to develop by the director. What we get in that film is fine look at Russia and how she relates to Europe through its history. Lots of great thoughts in those scenes. And if you liked that film by the director, Sokurov, try 'The Sun'. There he provides a glimpse of the Emperor Hirohito in WWII. Whoa...an interesting film folks. Enjoy!

Russian Ark is available on Netflix streaming, if that's preferable.
