OK, I am not looking for a list of the worst movies made, or the worst that you have seen.
What I would like to know is what is the worst movie in your PERSONAL LIBRARY... and how did it get there?
I ask how it got there because I believe that most people are pretty good judges of what they will or won't like, just from seeing the preview. It is very rare that I go to a movie and are so disappointed that I walk out - or feel cheated.
In my Library It comes down to one of the following:
8 Heads in a Duffle Bag - I heard this was so bad that I wanted to check it out; after all, Joe Pesci is almost always worth watching. I found a copy in the Wal-Mart $5 bin marked half off. So, I thought I would give it a look. I now regret that I bought it because I could use the space it takes up.
MonkeyBone - I like Brendan Frasier and thought it would be another of his off-beat, but good movies. I must admit though that going in, I had absolutely no idea what it was about. I didn't see a preview. (As of this writing, I couldn't explain it either.)
So, sometime this week, I will watch both and come back with a winner (loser).

The Maneater Collection: Maneater, Grizzly Rage, Dire Wolf, Croc and Chupacabra.
They crammed all five movies on a single DVD, so the resolution is atrocious. My mom mailed it to me. She's a B-movie fan and was convinced I'd like it. Her favorite type of B-movie can be described as Things That Eat People.
I was also gifted with the Tremors series. (On Blu-Ray????)
Fast & Furious (first one). Such a bad movie, I have no idea why I bought it. I guess for the cars? But even the cars were horrible. Im clueless how that ended up in my collection I guess.
Bought it several years ago when a movie store was closing. I'd never heard of it, but I figured Paul Giamatti was ok, so how bad could it be? Quite bad, turns out. Ten years and four yard sales later, I still haven't been able to unload the piece of crap.

I have over 800 DVD movies in my collection and while I have them on spindles (I tossed the cases as they take up room) the movies I didn't care for anymore went in the box, about 200-250 already.
For example, the teen comedies, I out grew them and I don't enjoy watching 'em anymore. Maybe I have a few bad movies as well.

I don't have a count on mine but as I move, I find it incredible that packed box after box of video tape, that took up many of shelves in a closet, are all fitting into DVD drawers stacked 4 across and 4 deep on a typing table in their DVD working copy form.
The latter had its up points here and there and I don't mean Elvira. But "Star Crystal"? The acting is practically non existent (have seen one flick that I rented where the acting didn't exist and was positively wooden), the sets are painful, and I don't think the movie could be redeemed even if watched drunk.
As it is, I do have one flick where the lead's acting was similar and very painful to watch.
but in this case, the chases are excellent, the music wonderful, the supporting cast terrific, and unlike Ice Station Zebra, they didn't vastly change MacLean's story making the movie.
So let's get back to how I got "Star Crystal". It was probably on sale somewhere, it was sci fi, and I figured it would probably be worth at least one look.
I still don't think I've gotten more than 20 minutes into the flick.
