Many years ago, I watched an awesome movie.

I'm so sorry, but don't remember much about it, except that the woman and two children, went with their dad, to somewhere very cold to live.

Somehow he passed away, and she was left in the winter to survive, and keep them alive.

All I remember is, they were practically starving, and she took the kids out with her to hung in a canoe or small boat, it was the end of the day...they were going back to the cabin empty handed, and low and behold, in the river, stood a moose. She aimed her gun and shot him....and it kept them alive.

It was an awesome survival movie....my memory is very bad, sorry I can't give you more info, but I don't remember more.

Also, a real good old movie, is called "The Trap" Awesome! It is hardly ever on TV any more....Oliver Reed

No idea, but here's a guess. Would it be "Silence of the North"?

I am not sure that's it...but I thank you kindly for the suggestion. It may be?

My memory is not good, I saw the movie a long time ago....and the only part of the movie I remember is the one I described where she shoots the moose, they were on the way back to their cabin, empty handed, hungry and no food, and there stands a moose, and she shoots it?

It was very well done.

Thanks so much....
