Of the major movie studios (there are 6 that are officially labeled as MAJOR), which do you think is the most well known/most dominant in the industry? If you want, comment who you voted for(you don't have to) and also comment which one is your favorite. Should be interesting to see the juxtaposition of who people think is the most dominant vs. who produces films they like most. Note the examples I gave are just off the top of my head (and yes I realize some films were co-produced by both companies).

Universal studios- Jurassic park, ET, Jaws, Back to the future, Pitch Perfect, Meet the parents/fockers, Straight outta Compton, ect.

Walk Disney studios- Frozen, Zootopia, star wars, toy story, Guardians of the Galaxy, ect
Warner Brothers- Harry Potter, Batman, the Hobbit, Space Jams, Oceans 11, Lethal Weapon, ect

21st century Fox- Avatar, fight club, sound of music, Planet of the Apes, Titanic, Devil Wears Prada, ect.

Sony- Charlie’s Angels , Godzilla, Spiderman, Men in black, James bond films, ect.

Paramount- Transformers, Mission Impossible, the titanic, Forest Gump, Breakfast at tiffany’s, Interstellar, The God father, ect.

I personally think Warner Brothers is the most famous at the moment producing films like Batman, Harry Potter, Inception, the hobbit, ect. They are good at producing films that seem to have a multitude of sequels, Yet I will have to say that Disney has put out some of my favorite films alongside putting out some films that have touched the hearts of many.

Are you talking quality of movies or quantity of movies (ticket sales)?

Either way, it really varies from year to year.

This year? Probably Disney. Between STAR WARS and all the Marvel movies, Disney is ruling the box office. I suspect next year will be much the same.

In terms of who's making the most cash right now, it's Disney by a huuuuge margin.

Contrary to many people's beliefs, animated family films regularly outperform live-action these days. Which is why Warner, Universal and Paramount are trying to start/Restart their animation departments.

Warner Brothers' The LEGO Movie grossed 257.7 million domestic (469m worldwide) on a 60 million budget. The LEGO Batman Movie will make even more.

Zootopia has a much larger budget due to its cast, but it's making gonzo moola.

Animation is big biz.

For a studio that doesn't release nearly as many movies as the rest of the "big 6," Disney is always one of the top 3 grossing studios every year. They always release general audience movies that sell big, while other studios release big and small movies from every genre, which are met with varying success. And that was before (and especially after) Disney bought the heavy-hitting Star Wars/LucasFilm and Marvel IPs.
