Anyone familiar with Todd Solondz' universe will want to see this. I can't wait. It's distributed by Amazon, so if the limited release doesn't make it here I can always stream it. And of course this is a sequel to Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Well, we had a 'wiener dog' when I was a child. I loved that dog. I may have to see this movie for some light enjoyment.

Now, I've progressed to owning Dobermans, just a larger version of a wiener dog.!!

Aside from having the same director as Welcome to the Dollhouse, and the main character of that movie being called Weiner-Dog, I don't see any connection between the two based on the trailer.

As it should be - I don't want a trailer giving away plot points. If you really want to know:

Spoiler
compare the cast character names of Wiener-Dog with Welcome to the Dollhouse

He does that with most (all?) of his films, linking one with another.

We had a dachshund as children, too, and our family has one now.

As dog (and doxie) lovers, believe me we won't be seing this film.

It's not what you think, folks.

It sure is. I could also up my post count by warning people away and pass judgment on films that I haven't seen yet. But I control myself.

Oh. I thought I made myself clear: I won't be seeing this film. But like every other thinking person, when I come across an article which criticizes the producer for enticing families into a feel-good movie, only to leave them mortified at the end, I'll pass along that info to those who innocently think they're in for "light entertainment," without the gory specifics.

As Martha Stewart might say, reading comprehension is a good thing.

She's still an ex-con right?

Anyone familiar with Todd Solondz' universe... Hmm? That would be a clue. People also don't wander into porn films unless they know what they are getting into.
