I was watching an old movie today the Major and the Minor with Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland... at the end of the film you can see Ginger as Su Su.. or Susan Applegate sitting on a porch with her mother... a woman Ive never seen in films.. so a watched the credits at the end, and surprise surprise, it was Gingers real mother... My daughter and I love "The Major and The Minor"! From things I have read, Ginger Rogers' mother was a very intelligent, capable woman. Another excellent Ginger Rogers movie: Kitty Foyle. Ginger Rogers was an amazing actress.

I, too have loved "The Major and the Minor" since I was a very young child (I am now in my 50s) and introduced this movie to my Active Duty Soldier when he was 20. There are a ton of movies that he now loves, "The Lion in Winter", "Bringing Up Baby" and "It Happened One Night" to name a few. He has always made me promise not disclose his love of these movies to anyone outside of our little family of four.

It never occurred to me that the Mother in the movie was actually Ginger's Mother - what a lovely bit of trivia.
