Cool, I knew they were rebooting the series but wasn't aware it was going to be based on the 2013 video game reboot itself!

Based on that alone must see for me as I loved the game.

Attention all “Tomb Raider” enthusiasts — Warner Bros. and MGM have revealed the first look at Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.

In newly-released photos, first published in Vanity Fair, Vikander is shown taking on the role first commandeered by Angelina Jolie in the 2001 big-screen adaptation of the hit Eidos action-adventure video game franchise, which has sold more than 35 million units worldwide.

am i the only one to be disappointed by the choice of Vikander? i always loved, loved Lara Croft, i had the game on playstation, and before that on computer, i'e always had that image of a very "round" Lara - breasts, butt, face, i don't know how to explain, i must sound stupid, it's just that Vikander is really good-looking, but i thought they'd take someone else... she look a bit "plain" for the role, not sure, i don't want to offend anyone.

Jolie was perfectly cast as Lara Craft. Her body and looks was perfect as far as I am concern. I remember saying that if they ever did a Lara Craft movie, Jolie should be Lara. Now, whether those movies were good or not, that's another debate.

I think that Vikander got the looks as per the first shots. She is a talented actress and if there is other actress who can carry on the whole movie on her back, except Jolie, that's Alicia!

No.
She really is too twiggy to be realistic in the role.
But maybe she buffs up for it or something.

I am not much of a Jolie fan, but she really was Lara Croft.

I dunno. The trailer doesn't look bad. It just doesn't look like anything special. Another CGI-heavy action ridicu-flick. And the dialogue. "Death is not an adventure." Seriously. Who talks like that?

Jolie's breasts were altered for the movie. She was never that size in real life. I saw an interview with her waaaaaay back when where she talked about how they had to make her breasts look bigger for the role. She said it was very strange.

I guess they could have done that with the new actress....

If all a person cares about is the T&A factor, why spend money on a movie? The entire Internet awaits. The rest of us would like to see things like good acting and writing in a movie before we start arguing over breast size.
