I loved this movie when I was a kid.

I watched it again a few months ago. It's still good, but it is starting to show its age. Or maybe I'm just starting to show my age.

A CLASSIC. The climax featuring the confrontation between Clifford (Chris Makepeace), Ricky (Adam Baldwin), Moody (Matt Dillon) and Moody's new "bodyguard" Mike (Hank Salas) is cinema gold.

That side, I expect most millennials wouldn't like this movie.

I do remember it -- I last watched it a few years ago. It's an enjoyable little film that makes me smile.

Matt Dillon played those bad boy parts so well back then, he was quite the punk in My Bodyguard & Little Darlings, but especially in Over The Edge. I can hardly watch the scene in Bodyguard where they smash up dude's motorcycle, which they spent all that time fixing up, and dumped it into the lake. That school was almost as bad as the Over The Edge school, and Jim Belushi's "The Principal" school.

Christine is a great companion film to My Bodyguard as well, with the vandalism and bully payback, nerd becomes cool and bullies get mangled by Christine. Darnell's junk yard was such a joy to me, with Mr. Darnell's colorful phrases.

I would say it goes well with over the edge or maybe even Can’t buy me Love.

OVER THE EDGE is a much darker film than MY BODYGUARD.

My favorite part in the movie is when Linderman screamed "I didn't find him, I killed him!" to Clifford.
