A lovely, quiet, moving film. Would watch it again, any time. "On the wings if snow white dove....." - what a haunting song. One of the unsung beautiful films of all time. Duvall at his finest.
Yes its very nice. Forgot how I even found it. On cable probably. It just stuck with me and became one of my faves. And the Betty Buckley (?) songs...Over You...love it. Hold the ladder...A+. Every song just gives you chills.
The guy who played the little boy never acted in a movie again I think. Wonder why. He was very good.

Yes indeed. Every major role in that movie was exquisitely acted. And all so quietly and understated. I don't remember if it got many awards or accolades, but if it didn't, it should have.
