I did not know it deals with teenage crap I thought it was a vampire action movie like the Underworld and now I have to live with the horrible memory of watching this movie forever . Don't think I finished it only watched half way through and returned it.
Hostel is a children's movie compared to 'A Serbian Film'. The trailer alone on imbd.com should out-do most of these movies. I don't think the unrated version is technically legal in a lot of countries so you might have to use a torrent.
Hostel without a doubt. I would never step foot in Eastern Europe after seeing that.
Oh come on, really?! First off, it wasn't filmed in "Eastern Europe" as it took place in Bratislava, Slovakia which is considered Central Euro, not Eastern.
"Eastern Europe", a large and diverse region, is actually quite lovely in many parts. And you know that Hostel is pure, pure fiction right?
There is a scene in Holocaust which has been deleted in the DVD version in which Jews are burned alive in a synagogue. You only hear but do not see them. You do see the building burning. The miniseries left quite an impression on my then young mind.
Similar scene in Come and See regarding German execution of presumably Russian villagers during the occupation period in 1941-1945. Barn not a synagogue this time. Same effect. The entire film shows the casualness with which death comes during wartime even to civilians and animals.
was that the 1978 Holocaust movie with James Woods?
yes 1978
