When I first heard Seth Rogen as a action here I thought it was weird. That chubby face and white man afro, the way he talks......It will be interesting to see if he can act totally against his looks and former type
Same thing happened in '89 when people heard that comedian Michael Keaton was cast as Batman so they released a teaser trailer months in advance and people went Hmm maybe Keaton might not be too bad after all, and they were right, Batman broke box office records that year
Keaton was not my favorite Batman either, he can act, the fact that he pulled it off at all attests to that, but he didn't have the look, the physical presence
I think I kinda have to agree with you, once again, they take a classic older program, and turn it into a video game film or movie, for younger guys or generation, that don't have the ability to sit still and watch a decent plot or script develop. But instead seem more interested in watching video game, special effects, characters played by humans...
(hey, but whatever sells)
One would have to have a very short attention span to get into a movie like this one, kinda like the new A-Team movie...
But then again I can only base this on the previews I've seen...the sequences are just way to fast...
And my reasons for being turned off may be totally different than yours...
Then again...it may be a great film, who knows...but I've learned by now that usually the previews are the best a film has to offer...
