I just came back from seeing the "Watchmen" and without saying to much......the movie was long and just "ok". It's amazing what marketing and a big budget can do.

Don't get me wrong there were some decent cool things about the movie but it still was just average.

I actually thought it was very good....it wasn't as great as the graphic novel, but, it was a great movie imo.

Finally an Alan Moore adaptation that does justice to the original work.
I'll be buying the BlueRay.

Maybe I am being to hard on the movie because of all the hype. I'm glad you liked it. :-)

Thanks
Ron

I see you already have your BlueRay on reserve. I'll probably buy it myself so I can review it again.

The movie I am looking forward to is Star Trek, I am in no way a Sci-Fi fan nor a comic book fan but Watchmen was a movie I really wanted to see and the new Star Trek looks really awesome as well.

Thanks
Ron

I agree. All my friends though it was really good, but I just though it was alright. I honestly can't really say anything bad about it because it was a good movie for what it was, but I wasn't that impressed.

JL,

I know what you mean. Maybe if I had read the novel I may have a better view of the movie. I don't think I'll read the book considering that's not my genre.

Not to mention I was somewhat ****ff by the "Dr." and his ongoing nakedness. That kind of throw me off a little. At least give the guy a pair or shorts. :-)

Thanks
Ron

I'm going tonight. I liked 300 a lot and Alan Moore's Watchmen is one of my favourite graphic novels ever (alongside From Hell and a couple of others by other authors). I realise my expectations are VERY high and this will probably result in some disappointment, but I'm hoping it does the original story at least some justice (ie unlike the uninspired, unoriginal, un-everything From Hell movie), like Nolan is doing with Batman. I like risk: I hope the director's taken some risks and has been passionate about the story. If so, it will no doubt be worth my while.

yes, the naked blue dude was really unnecessary. It made some parts hard to watch.
