Off the top of my head I would agree with these 2.
Let the Right One is is simply a great movie as well as being a great vampire movie. My wife has read the book and she loves it - the story is, of course, much broader in the novel.
30 Days of Night was a surprisingly detailed and well-done vampire flick.
Both of these elevated the genre a bit I think.

I'm going with Fright Night. That movie cracked me up when I was a kid.

Roman Polanski's movie having already been mentioned, I have to add "Once Bitten" with a young Jim Carey and Lauren Hutton. Love the comedies.

"Love at First Bite" with Goerge Hamilton is also a fave since I was a young'un.

Can't forget "Vampire's Kiss" w/ Nicolas Cage. Definitely one of my favorite movies of his.

Any of the Dark Shadows feature films from the 70's. I was a huge Dark Shadows fan and think Barnabus Collins is the best vampire of all time.

They are at the top of my list too.

Also really liked 'Dracula' with Frank Langella.
