30 Days Of Night and recently Let The Right One In.
Off the top of my head I would agree with these 2.
Let the Right One is is simply a great movie as well as being a great vampire movie. My wife has read the book and she loves it - the story is, of course, much broader in the novel.
30 Days of Night was a surprisingly detailed and well-done vampire flick.
Both of these elevated the genre a bit I think.
All the Hammer Film production ones - they are the best!
They are at the top of my list too.
Also really liked 'Dracula' with Frank Langella.
