As an aspiring author, I thought the movie was one of the best of 2012! Definitely top 10, along with The Master, Flight, Lincoln, Argo, and other such films.
Hiya UT... With respect to everyone's opinion, to each his/her own. All our lists differ. I saw all the movies you listed, including The Words & didn't care for any of them enough that I'd recommend them. It doesn't necessarily mean the script is bad... too many components come into play with a film... acting, editing, directing being just a few.
Silver linings playbook. Terrific film. Great, Well acted drama with characters you really could root for. A few comic scenes were well timed and it was a story of 2 troubled people finding a happy relationship, And letting go of the past.

We watched it last night. I thought it was going to be a chick flick. Quite different.
That's why I said throw in a vampire. Lincoln as a vampire hunter....you just can't make this stuff up.
Asylum pictures has an Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies on DVD. We need a George Washington Vs. Werewolves or Bill Clinton Vs. Alien Strippers.
