(Oct. 4) -- In my latest book, "Hello, It's Me - Dispatches From a Pop Culture Junkie," I include an essay about what it was like to spend a night in rooms where famous rock stars died. But I had never spent any time in those rooms with friends of the deceased.

As some of you know Janis is a member of the 27 club. Musicians who all died at the young age of 27. They were just getting started at that age. You couldn't even begin to reach your potential at such a young age. That is a heartbreak in the history of music! 27 Club - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Albert King makes a comment similar during this tune to Stevie about Jimi Hendrix and Janis @ approx 2:00.
