There "are" people in Antarctica! You know the ones who are measuring if the ice is melting and all that global warming. I'm certain though, they do not like jazz, lol.

Very true. I will remember that the next time I start a thread.

But I get what you are saying. And it really boils down to creating a product that most people will like. You make more money that way. Seriously if we get too edgy we might turn on the radio and hear monkeys set to music, and who wants that?

I'm not really sure why it is so hard to grasp that people have different tastes. Some people like chocolate ice cream, some people like vanilla. Some are fine with eating at CiCis, others always want to go to a 5 star restaurant.

The only thing I would add, is that the best music quality music today is not on pop radio.

But only if they roll marbles around in metal drums at the same time.

I may be inspired right now.

In your opinion. Because every now and then they play some musicians that are brilliant composers and musicians imo. For example, MUSE, Alter Bridge, NIN..etc. Sometimes a song will break into radio but that does not discount the entire band or musician because one song was played on the radio.

It's interesting to note that many musicians also have edgier better music on their albums that never make it to the radio.

Rarely will a song break in that has lasting significance on pop radio. Im talking top 40 pop radio. Pop radio is abysmal....
