Here he is looking all bad-azz. The stocking cap turns him into instant gangsta rapper.

I agree that 93-95 was about the pinnacle .... there were a couple good years on either side

I also really like some the mid-80s stuff ..... different & expiremental

things started to go down hill when "puffy" started to talk over everyones tracks and put on his shiny dancing suit............

I'll bet if he had killed someone with a hammer, his career probably wouldn't have tanked.

early-mid 90's. The late 90's had good stuff too but you just have to know where to look.

Funny thing is that Hammer had a pretty strong reputation of being no-joke and a fairly legitimate street tough guy .... he just didn't take his music in that direction ....

It would be the 90's mainly for me. I never strayed far away from Tupac, Bizzy Bones, Fugees (Lauryn Hill), Ruff Ryders, although wait, I do like me some Wutang.

That's hilarious!!! I'm just glad you didn't say the South ruined it!! I'm from the South and I don't think we did but some of us are really Eastside stomping it while it's down!! I'd have to say between 91 and 97 myself.
