HA ! ! ! The '60's...

I was there AND I remember. Living 200 miles west of Dallas, listening to 'Wolf Man Jack' (from Del Rio, via Cuna) on a.m. after midnite. First smoked some 'stuff' with some guys in the air force.

Summer of '69, was in St. Louis visiting bro-in-law (to be), in the arch (gateway to the west), same day as man first landed on the moon (gateway to the universe). Had to leave cause he was headed to NY for a 'big' concert.

Turned 21 the day before that concert started. Moved to Dallas a week later. I called the local 'big' radio station, KLIF to let them know they didn't play enough Janis Joplin. Went to see the movie Woodstock soon as it hit the theatres.

Some would like to do things over. I'd like to do 'em better.

I was working at May Co. in Monclair CA and almost went with a co-worker on the back of his bike. My dad interrupted that plan and I guess I still thank him today. The music was awesome however.

I sure do remember Woodstock! I was born in the 40's...so most definitely experienced the birth of rock n roll, the great music, clothes, cars, drive-in movies, drive-in restaurants. American Graffiti was about as close as it comes to life back then...loved it all!

I did not go to Woodstock. Was not a hippie, but loved the music! Visited the Haight-Ashbury district in S.F. and had a great time!

Lots in my age group claim our growing up years where the best times...and for us they were. Every age group hopefully can make that same claim and carry fond memories.

I was 1 years old. I like a lot of psychadellic music from that era. Especially Love. But, Im more of a Punk rocker-Indy guy. When I say Punk I mean the real Punk from the 70's and 80's. Not this Green Day garbage!

I think it may have been around $8M, I forget if 100 or more acres?

The original festival site has already been developed as an arts center, many think it's gone a bit too upscale. It's a nice area in the summer but winter is Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Talking Make Love Not war

I Have always been a hippie at heart !! (-:
Some people would say that i havent grown up,but I dont agree,I think it is just being young at heart !
When I was 18 years old,all I wanted to do was go to Haight Ashbury
(San Francisco) and where flowers in my hair !!
I believe you can have maturity and still be young at heart !
Some of my favorite artists today are Kelly Clarkson,Avril Lavigne and Justine
Timberlake !!
