I stumbled upon Simon Collins purely by accident - the son of Phil Collins, arguably one of the most successful artists of all time (both solo and with Genesis). I listened to Simon's U-Catastrophe album in its entirety, just out of curiosity more than anything else. The album was released in 2008 and did very little, not that charting is any indication of whether an artist is good or not. The album is great though; major shades of his dad, but with an electronic/heavier edge in some of the songs.
Here's one song from the album, Unconditional:
I also like this cover he did of the Genesis song, Keep It Dark:
I hope to hear more from Collins in the future. He seems to have inherited his dad's voice with a Canadian twist (he's Canadian). It's a shame you can't hear this stuff on the radio. I didn't even know Phil Collins had a son who was also a (talented) musician until recently.
