How about these? I don't want to offend the New Wave classification Nazis, so I will preface it with the fact that these are probably more New Romantic than New Wave, mmkay?

YouTube - Adam Ant "Strip"

YouTube - Human League - Don't You Want Me Baby

Definately remember that one and that song always reminds me of the 80's High School movies as a theme type song...

YouTube - Blondie - The Tide Is High - 1980

YouTube - Yazoo Only You

YouTube - Tom Tom Club - Genius of Love

Do those count? What is new wave? I was one of those MTV-deprived kids, so I never saw most of these videos until ... now! In retrospect, I'm even glad. How bizzare they seem now when held up against personally nostalgic memories of the circling the roller rink, laying out at the beach and such.

If we just say "80's Videos" we can bypass this whole classification conflict......

YouTube - Visage - Fade to Grey

YouTube - Fancy - Slice Me Nice

YouTube - Ultravox - Love's Great Adventure

YouTube - Modern Talking - Brother Louie

YouTube - Haircut 100 - Love Plus One

YouTube - Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't it be good

YouTube - Duran Duran - The Chauffeur (Live 1984)

I love coming back to this thread - all the memories of old school MTV, when videos set to music started right about the time when this genre (New Wave) did - while visiting a friend's home during a vacation in Europe a few years ago, we watched a satellite channel that played 80s videos 24/7. If it were available here, I would actually get cable (or dish, or whatever).

Thanks for reminding me of Tom-Tom club - I think this one is kind of post-new wave as it was a bit futuristic -- I thought it was from the early 90s but it says '88

YouTube - Tom Tom Club - Suboceana

Whatever - it's the 'jellyfish' video!
