YouTube - Alphaville - Big In Japan

YouTube - Japan - Ghosts

YouTube - Kraftwerk - The Robots

Those darn Yerr-a-peens, they were so good at this. Some of the styles are embarassing to look at now, because I (personal experience) remember all the Aquanet and crazy clothes and shoes that went with the "look".

YouTube - Always-Erasure

Here are a few more I thought of last night:

YouTube - Altered Images - Happy Birthday

YouTube - Bananarama feat. Fun Boy Three

YouTube - The Three O'Clock

And the best (stylistically) video Pet Shop Boys ever made:

YouTube - Pet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing

Yeah the Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode were the most popular groups in Southern France when we were over there in the Navy (nice and cannes) back in the 80's. Watching that Altered Images video made me think of how fun the 80's scene was. No doom and gloom....

Although as i guy i always disliked that song by the Waitresses it was sad about the lead singer Patty Donahue as she died at 40 of lung cancer as she was a heavy smoker....

Alright i really dig Morrissey...........

The Smiths - This Charming Man

The Smiths - Panic

How Soon is Now?

How about this one? I know, I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I took the day off yesterday to celebrate!

YouTube - Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead

Have to add a few more after watching those you posted:

YouTube - Blancmange - Living on the Ceiling

YouTube - Animotion "Obsession"

If Animotion is New Wave, then Ludacris is Country & Western.

Do you have something useful to contribute in this thread, or did you just show up to critique?

My, aren't we a sensitive little thing. But since you ask:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/music...ml#post1752259

Meanwhile, I thought a discussion of what constitutes New Wave and what doesn't is grounds for "useful" discussion in the context of this thread. If you don't think so, I humbly submit that you're in the wrong thread.

kthxbye
