A neighbor offered me $10.00 for it but i dont want to regret it so any help would be apreciated. The record label is capitol records (no apple logo). According to this the album is worth $18.00 & up in VG cond. My lp is worth less so maybe $10.00 is a good price.

If the album cover isn't in good condition then the value will decrease. Do you still have the cutouts and red sleeve? If not, then just take the $10. Have you tried searching ebay?

I have no cut out or red sleeve. I did check ebay & the majority of lps are vg to mint cond & worth some decent change. The album cover is taped along the seams in some areas but you can still see the art work & when i open the album i see the beatles in big print but no cut outs.

Then you won't get much. If the album itself is in decent condition then I think $10-$15 is fair just for the vinyl. I wouldn't pay for the album cover. Maybe the ones on ebay have better covers. My husband is one of those people who want a better cover than an album because of artwork. I don't need music on LP when there's CD's and digital music for better quality. We paid $65 for a vg Abbey Road album only because the cover was practically mint and the LP was vg. We took the album out and had the album and cover framed so the cover is on top and the album is below it.

Considering the condition you describe, $10 sound fair.

I've never sold any of my vinyls. I like to frame them and hang them on the wall as art. Looks pretty cool, too.

I do have another copy of sgt pepper but it has the apple records logo & im keeping it. I checked out the prices on amazon & the starting price for a acceptable lp is $16.00 (my lp is in better cond then some of the listed lps). Maybe ill hold on for awhile cause 10 bucks wont get me much anymore & i dont want any regrets.
Thanks for all the posts. Im a true beatles fan as i can see all of you are as well.

Heck, you never mentioned you had a second album. I say sell the first one and pocket the cash.

It's funny but a lot of my albums probably aren't worth much on the market but they're priceless to me. Okay, okay ... so if someone offered me a million bucks for one, I wouldn't turn them down. I'm not stupid!

When it comes to the Beatles, Mono is much more valuable than Stereo. If it's mono, you might be able to get $50-$75. If it's stereo, $10 is generous for the condition you describe.

Beatles albums are not rare. There are zillions of them out there.
