It started the tears going, as always happens when I think about it.
I have a hard time grappling with or accepting the notion of a "heaven" due to... a lot of things. I have a hard time accepting with the very notion of an afterlife in the first place, for that matter. But, if there is some sort of afterlife out there... I hope that she and her daughter can spend some time with mine. Let her know I wish I would have gotten to meet her, and all that, and leave the light on for me and her mom, even though we aren't together anymore.
As a bizarre coincidence, I just looked, and this was the official video to the song in my initial post. The lyrics and video are even more fitting than I could have expected.
