Memories, blasting THIS so loud in cars, with friends,
straight road, for miles....felt like the Earth was rotating...and we we sitting still....hahhahhaha.....
Wynternight: nice work, needs more bassline, imho, but I have never heard of that.
At all.
And, I 'fancy' myself an expert on this particular genre. Never forgive myself for missing ...
s*t, can't even remember his name, coming to the local cc to give a talk...
RevCo/Ministry member. Manager? Damn, my mind is fading fast...lol.
But, 'Skrew'?
Ego check, for me. Thought I knew them all...
~~~> Good work. ---- More?
Aw, eff it, I (think) I listed this as a band I was embarrassed to like, now.
But:
NSFW: Do we even need this acronym on the internet anymore?
When is the internet ever SFW? If you're on a forum?
One more Golden Classic, from a well known group, sadly, fallen into ....well.
No judgement.
Being from Texas, oddly enough, we all loved this song, lol, and I guess Alien J likes it.
The state. El Paso? Okay...never saw more vomit on the street than in El Paso...
Hmmmmmmm, one can only wonder why...he would choose to stay there. Heroin free?, okay.
I am the creator! Wax Trax!
Yes, that/this is the prime time victim show. hosted by a dearly departed...
Saw him in Austin. Once, right before...
Remember what it's like when we were screaming, dreaming, screaming, dreaming...?
Skrew started life as a crossover/punk band by the name of Ankgor Wat and put out two records - When Obscenity Becomes the Norm...Awake! being the better of the two IMO. In 1990 they reformed as Skrew and released a few records, the first two - Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame, and Dusted being the best. After that I kind of parted ways with them as they got away from the industrial metal sound I was really big into at the time.
Is it Al Jourgensen you're thinking of that gave the talk?
Him, Paul Barker, Chris Connelly, Sin Quirin, and Bill Reifen are the only members of both bands I can think of.
Mmm, I remember more members, seems like, but... No, Not Al. I would have crawled on my knees, across town, to see him.
Even though...I know his weaknesses, and he is full of ...'excrement'?
Can I say that and not get an infraction?
heh.
It was a talk on 'Music production and management' ...if I remember correctly.
Which is (lately) an arguable bet.
I'm guessing it was Connelly. Yeah, of the four mentioned...
Wasn't Paul Barker, I don't think, and the rest don't even ring any bells, so...
Still, I regret not seeing him. Whoever he was.........................................ha!
Ministry / RevCo member...free event! once in a lifetime....passed up.
Anyhow. A year ago at Austin Community College, was going to make the trip....their website is useless, btw.
(And they have degrees in 'website design', somehow....GL.)
No, no...'Alien' I would have taken my child to see.
Man's a legend. Messed up? Yes. Lives in El Paso? Yes.
Who?.... rich, famous...would choose to live there
(been there so..)...without being messed up? Somehow?
Place is like the wild, wild West...drinking in a bar and see a man beat to death with a pool que right next to you. And, more vomit on those downtown streets than in any downtown streets I've ever seen. And, I've seen a few. Only a few but...lol. Wow.
Anyways...
No it was another....none of the one's you mentioned.
Sadly, I cannot remember...and did not attend.
Whoever the manager was. Or playing that role.
Maybe it was Paul Barker??? Hm.
So, more music, more RevCo, since I can't seem to find anyone suggesting alternatives:
Except for Wynternight. Thanks for that...
One of their best:
