They're both great. No doubt the close harmony singing of Glen and Don was fantastic - just listen to them on Randy Newman's "Rider in the rain". It is the best thing about the song - the understated harmony humming on the outro alone is gorgeous. JD Souther is in there too.
I also liked Glen and Don's vocal harmonies on Bob Seger's "Fire Lake", I thought they've added a lot to that song, I'm not a huge Randy Newman fan but I absolutely love the chorus and the backing vocals of Don & Glenn, definitely a great song that I've just listened to for the first time.
I'll take Don over Glen but my ultimate favorite is Joe Walsh.
