Probably. McDonald's also is very 'influential.'
So are many negative things. Influence doesn't equate to worth.

That's just one noob's opinion.

Rap has brought a lot to the table. You have to listen to a lot of different rappers to see their influences.


This is probably one of the most lyrical songs ever written right here regardless of genre.

I said one of the most lyrical songs ever. Rakim's 80's stuff is still ahead of many rappers today.

I agree.

And I think it might well be the most influential genre since the 60's as well.

My point was that being influential, and being good... are two different things.

I'd say electronic dance music was / is up there in terms of influence as well, but that's just getting started.

Everyone is using computers to make music now, not everyone is rapping.

EDIT: Just out of curiosity, what are some of your runners up for lyrical rap songs?
That one was pretty good, the 'flow' and beat were definitely top notch...
